The panel on the left will always allow you to

go to RCT Presenter Home
go to these Instructions

The panel will also show links that allow actions that are relevant to what you are doing at the time. The links lead to the following actions:

	Brings up the protocol navigation graphic in the main window.
Browse	Displays all trials available for browsing
New Search	Starts a new search of the trial bank

When browsing information for a particular trial, additional navigational links specific to that trial will be available

Searching the Trial Bank

Enter text strings for searching author Last Name or First Name, or for Trial Title. Search strings can be for partial matches, and case (lower or upper) does not matter. More detailed explanations follow. These instructions are under development.

Minimum Followup: Retrieves all trials that have any outcome assessed at this length of time or greater. For example, entering 3 months will return all trials for which a primary or secondary outcome was assessed at 3 or more months.
Interventions: Displayed are all the interventions used by trials currently in the trial bank. Select one or more to match for Experimental, Comparison interventions, or any trial interventions.
Outcomes: Displayed are all the outcomes of trials currently in the trial bank. Select one or more to match for Primary, Secondary, or any trial outcomes.
Timepoints Retrieves all trials that have any outcome assessed at any of these timepoints. For example, entering 3 months will return all trials for which a primary or secondary outcome was assessed at exactly 3 months.

Browsing Individual Trial Information

Individual trial information is grouped into 9 categories. In each category, some of the links are to other information in the same category while other links are to information in other categories

Category	Example
Administration	investigators, funding, names of study centers
Design	sample size calculations, primary hypothesis, a priori subgroups
Publications	publication citations
Subjects and Recruitment	inclusion and exclusion criteria, recruitment details
Treatment Assignment	randomization method, allocation concealment
Interventions	details of interventions, co-interventions, compliance
Followup	crossovers, followup, dropouts
Outcomes and Measurements	definitions of outcomes, methods and blinding of assessment
Results	overall and subgroup results

When browsing an individual trial, these categories of information can be accessed in 2 ways.

Clicking on the appropriate label of the protocol icon which you can always get to using the button on the side panel
Clicking on the appropriate navigation label at the left panel of your browser window.

In addition, each trial is summarized by a Quick Overview, and a Summary Report
